Why I love my (well, C’s) lovey
The why I love my series usually focuses on a specific product that helps me in my parenting endeavors, but today I want to give a shout out to a more generic item – The Lovey. And specifically, the very special member of our family who has earned this title, Pato. Pato is a toy duck that hubby and I bought for C on a whim one day at Whole Earth Provision Co. From the moment she looked at him with a huge smile on her face in the store, we knew he would become part of our family. He’s been the highest ranking toy in the playroom ever since, and now that C’s a little older, Pato also joins her for meals and sleeps with her every night. He accompanies her on her rides to and from school, and sometimes on various weekend outings. He’s even pretty well-travelled, having been on vacations with us and even through the washing machine a couple of times. In other words, Pato is the best lovey ever, and it’s beyond adorable to watch C show love and affection to him. When she is upset, sick or generally feeling blue, Pato spreads the cheer like nothing else can.Does your wee one have a special friend who has earned the title of lovey? Do tell in the comments!

Absolutely love Whole Earth Provisions! We don’t have kids but have several friends that do. It is our favorite place to go for birthday gifts for children!

My eighteen year old still has a stuffed dog her best friend bought her years ago when we lived far from here. She loves that thing so much! Big kids are still kids.

Aww! My youngest daughter carries a Monkey and banana covered receiving blanket around with her when we are home and sleeps with it. One day she saw it in her closet and fussed until I gave it to her and they have been the best of buds since!
