Why I love my Tranquil Turtle

As you know, sleep is good. In my very first post in this series, I told you about an awesome little product called the Sleep Sheep – a major sleep enabler at our house! Well not too long ago, C’s Grandee gave her a Tranquil Turtle (also made by Cloud b), and I have to say that Tranquil Turtle might be the new Sleep SheepIt has risen to the top of the awesomeness chain quickly, and here’s why.

In addition to the soothing sounds that the Sleep Sheep features, the Tranquil Turtle projects an underwater light effect on the ceiling and walls that pretty much hypnotizes C. Before the TT, C would oftentimes throw tantrums if we left the room while she was still awake (hilarity ensued). Now, on the nights she’s not feeling tired enough to fall asleep during the rocking process, we can put her in her crib wide awake and she soothes herself to sleep like a champ. This is especially helpful for naps, which is usually when the wakefulness rears it’s (formerly) ugly head. It’s too cute to watch her enjoy the lights and sounds the TT emits on our baby monitor, and this product has definitely helped her to feel more secure while she’s on her own in her room. Cloud b = sleep whisperers.

Hey, I was coming from the Build a List hop, and your feed doesn’t have the email subscription set up. That’s what it tells me when I enter my email. Thought you should know.

Courtney, you’re the best. I finally fixed it – the widget I was using was not working for some reason. Thanks for looking out for a fellow blogger!

This is good for older kids also. My daughter is 12 and needs “white noise” in the background in order to sleep. She has this turtle and it’s great! But, it freaks my cat out so he will no longer sleep with her.(:
